I offer weekly to twice weekly individual psychotherapy. When appropriate, I may also provide longer or double sessions. My approach to psychotherapy combines a focus on helping you gain insight into the sources of your difficulties, becoming more emotionally aware, and making changes in your life. My new clients often comment that they want a therapist who is not silent. While I listen carefully and attentively, I will be quite active in our sessions.
I practice Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy: an approach to couples and marriage therapy based on attachment theory and supported by research. Seventy to seventy-five percent of couples who complete this type of treatment recover from distress and almost 90% show significant improvement in their relationship.
Fees and Schedule
My fees depend on the length of the session and services provided. I offer sliding scale fees for people with financial constraints and you should feel free to ask about this. If you are interested in obtaining reimbursement through your insurance carrier, I will provide you with the appropriate receipt on a monthly basis.
